“No”) are generally not allowed to stay in the federal territory without a visa for longer than 90 days per
period of 180 days. In addition, they are not allowed to take up any gainful employment during this
period. Germany has concluded bilateral visa exemption agreements with certain countries, which may
allow a longer stay in Germany beyond 90 days per period of 180 days. Further information can be found
on the websites of the German diplomatic missions in the affected countries.
3) Residence permits (also for stays longer than 90 days) can be applied for after visa-free entry.
5) The visa exemption only applies to biometric passport holders.
7) Citizens of the British overseas territories (“British Nationals (Overseas)”) are also exempt from the visa
requirement.
An Official Letter of Invitation will be sent via email to each National Federation. We will then send an
invitation letter for the entire team.
Please note that a visa should be obtained before entering Germany. Do not delay in beginning your visa
